About Me

Born to be a naturally gifted guitarist and musician. It occurs in Milano on the second of April nineteen sixty two. Twelve years later music shows up on the stage of his life; sort of a pushy gift which helps with balancing his delicate sensitivity. Small groups first appear, soon followed by the first real representative Blues Italian band, the “Treves Blues Band” line-up. Marco is nineteen when he signes to a major and makes his first records with his band, the “Cacao”, produced by Vince Tempera and Massimo Luca. Then Garbo, Miguel Bosé, Matia Bazar, Vittorio de Scalzi, Giuni Russo, Ivano Fossati, Yello among others follow. Within few years thirty records are launched and many others are but projects to come alive. Aged twenty six, Marco understands he can not cope with compromises and rampant incompetence. Setting apart his professional career he decides to perfect his previous study in composition as well as in guitar playing. But soon Gianna Nannini, a sorcerer-like figure, grabs him just in time to start an intense collaboration along many years, which produced seven records and over ten published songs. Marco results to have been the most long-lived front-man among her instrumentalists so far. During this golden period he works with talented producers such as Alan Moulder, Dave Allen and Andy Wright, whom he gains true admiration and respect from. Recently Marco has successfully collaborated with Wil Malone, recording songs for the upcoming Gianna Nannini’s rock Opera. At present he is devoting to personal projects and teaching music at his home studio. A fanciful dreamer of composition, he is still experiencing music as his inner most vital obsession...
