Their combination of Blues, Rock, Reggie, Funk, Ballads and Buffett tunes appeals to music lovers of all ages. They pride themselves on not being just another cover band. Band Members: When Chronic playes their moto is "We didn't come here just to play music for you...we came here to party with you!!!" The band is lead by vocalist, rhythm guitarist, steel drum beating and hamonica blowing "Huricane Keith" Gabel. Keith is an avid blues man, and dedicated parrothead. He also makes the meanist margaritas this side of the Mexican boarder. His frequent trips to Mexico to play in the sun and write new songs is evident in the sound. Back with the band is "Rockin Rob" rocking the bass. Rob is a very accomplished musician and adds whole new dimension to the band. Guitarists, Andy Chacon "Cheech" and Tony Lasito "Uncle Tony" team up and are one of the hotest guitar duos around. These two can read each others mind and fret boards. The most talented of the bunch is, wild man, "Congo Joe" Joe Bons on percussion. Joe is the best congo player in Utah (or any where!). He played with UFEO Project and Home Grown prior to his stint with this band. When he gets rolling on a rythum be cautious of flying drum equipment and random episodes of clothing removal! Keeping time on the kit is "Animal" Jason Chacon. His crazy licks and hip beats team up with Congo Joe to give Chronic Layover one the the tightest and exciting rythem sections heard anywhere.
