About Me

Very fortunate to be able to operate in two theaters of music, Chris Rehm is a songwriter/musician who has a Blues band, Chris Rehm and the Rabble Rousers, a well as a solo acoustic performances in many genres. "Playing in multipal genres always keeps things fresh! I'll write a Blues song one day and wake up the next and write something completely different... a ballad in the vane that Willie Nelson would work in. Tomorrow it might be a Rock song. You just never know what will blow in with the wind!" Based in Cutler Bay, Florida (20 miles south of downtown Miami and 35 minutes north of Key Largo) Chris has played from Ft. Lauderdale to Key West. On Songwriting Chris says: "The best songs I've written were not songs that I set out to write at all. I'd just be playing on the guitar when something just sounds good. So I continue with it and all of the sudded a lyric lands on the riff. I don't have a clue as to where it came from. One example was a song I wrote named "Albuquerque" (McClure & Trwobridge Pub. Nashville) I was just fiddeling on the guitar and came up with this progression that suddenly sounded great! Then, as I was playing it, out of nowhere came the line "It was time to leave, Albuquerque". I don't know where it came from, but it fit like a glove. There's nothing like the rush I get when that happens. Nothing. Because it's not me, it's being given to me as a gift and I truely appreciate it." While living in south Florida, many of Chris' songs are published in Nashville, Tn. with McClure & Trowbridge Publishing. At this time, none of those songs are being featured on this site, however for further information on those, please contact www.trowbridgeplanetearth.com . Or call (U.S) 615 902 0509 and ask for George McClure. Songs not published by McClure & Trowbridge Pub. will be featured here on on this site. "Welcome everyone and thanks for stoping by!!!" Songwriter, Musician, Backyard B.B.Q. Chef, Author, Motto:"AIN'T LIFE GRAND?"

"Live Aboard"

When I wrote Live Aboard a year ago last August I felt it was a pretty decent song. On my ability, if the best I could do was a 10 on my scale, I thought Live Aboard was about a 7 1/2, maybe an 8. Now...
