We lost Mom on Grandparent's Day, September 9, 2007 to Pancreatic Cancer. Her favorite color was purple. How ironic.

Dad asked if he could still say they were married for 60 years. Their Anniversary was November 2007. We assured him he could. Dad takes her flowers every weekend. We sent him a bundle of iris one week. He shared with her parents and brother. He said it looked like a field of wild flowers.
My daughter is an author in the making. She has the courage and ability to try something new and I am very proud of her. Presently she is working on a vampire tale. I am helping with research which is proving to be educational. Did I mention she also owns her own store on ebay and has redone her storefront. Check it out at

In her spare time she is also married and the mother of 2 exceptional grandchildren.
I am the "wicked stepmother" of two young adults. One is teaching in Taiwan and will be getting married in 2008. We are now down to the two week count.
The other one has started college and I am unsure just which path he has chosen. It changes.
There is a young man who says he has a problem remembering because his brain is full. Since his age is still in the single digits there could be a problem here. But he is a smart young man and knows a bunch about fish and dinosaurs and stuff. He has been fishing and is still working on catching “the Big One”. He likes to take photos and one day caught turtles crossing a creek. A very long line of turtles.
He also painted these for me.
Did I mention the little long blonde haired pixie in pink who runs the house? Her most favorite things are "buttersflies". That is not a typo. Being she has not yet started school the little diva has her own words. She is also an artist as you can see by these renderings.
And last but most certainly not least, my husband who puts up with me and my constant remodeling ideas. He somewhat reluctantly showed me how to use a drill a few years ago. A measure of my accomplishment was when he bought me my very own reciprocating saw. Now we work on projects together. Though the kitchen tile job was a true test of our marriage. Looks like we are due for another one of our projects.
