Celebrate Mother Earth Eddie Money, Bacon Brothers and Joan Osborne to performSYOSSET, NY – In one of the largest celebrations of Mother Earth in Long Island’s history, the Long Island Press will host the Concert for Mother Earth on April 12 at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.“This will be a night Long Island will remember for years to come,” said Press Associate Publisher Beverly Fortune. “With such amazing performers and incredible organizers, the event will raise awareness about our beautiful precious Mother Earth.”Helping put the event together are members of the Fortune 52, a group of women profiled each week in the LI Press that are changing lives every day through extraordinary charitable efforts. All proceeds for the Concert for Mother will benefit Grassroots Environmental Education, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the links between common environmental exposures and human health. “The lineup for the concert is extraordinary,” said Fortune. “It will be a memorable night in honor of Mother Earth.” Performing are:• Eddie Money is a rock and roll legend, and one of Long Island’s favorite sons. For three decades, Money has churned out timeless hits, including “Two Tickets to Paradise” and “Baby Hold On To Me”• Joan Osborne is a world famous performer who scored a huge hit with her 1995 debut album, Relish and the top single “One of Us”. She is known for her soulful, bluesy voice.• One of Hollywood’s leading men, Kevin Bacon’s first love is music. As the Bacon Brothers, Kevin and his brother Michael have been making music together since they were children. Today, the band plays sold out shows around the U.S., and has built a tremendous following.• Jen Chapin is the daughter of legendary singer-songwriter and native Long Islander Harry Chapin. Her music evokes ethereal emotions and moves her fans. She is currently touring the East Coast.• Eden White is a popular singer-songwriter that made a name for herself in the clubs of New York City.
