Laissez les bon temps rouler
When I was a kid, about 16, my boyfriend at the time asked me where I saw myself .."ending up.." in life. I remember telling him I would live somewhere in California near the ocean, alone, and have cats. Well, that's not too far off from how it is and I'm quite happy. I spent most of my adult life in the entertainment industry. First in the Music Biz in San Francisco for Bill Graham (the music producer, not Billy Graham the preacher) then in film as a stunt person, an actress, and finally I found my niche behind the camera as a casting director/set coordinator. I loved it. Every single minute of it. It was my life's ambition and though I never quite got to where I wanted to be at least I lived my dream. There were moments when I would just stop and take a deep breath and look around me in awe at where I was and what I was doing. That still happens but not as much since I am virtually retired. I spend a lot of time observing and rescuing cats and other animals. I'm not one of the nutjobs that has a zillion cats. I have a couple but no more than I can care for properly. But I spent a lot of time volunteering for a rescue and learned a lot. I have studied cats intensly. I study their behavior and their body language. I have always had a way with animals and I have always been able to sense what they are thinking and how to approach them. I'm an earthy kind of person. I actually love all of nature. I've even been know to befriend bees that built a hive under my house. I'm never afraid of animals of any kind. I am very empathic which is a bit of a curse. Sometimes I feel like I have the whole world on my shoulders because I feel it's pain. I am from New Orleans originally and Katrina nearly broke my heart. My friends and family there are still in such dire situations from it and I hate the way our country is going now. Hopefully it's not to late to fix it.

My Interests

I love music, all kinds of music. Film, tv and most of all books. I read like a machine and never have enough books! I keep trying to write one myself but never get it done. Oh, well. I like to garden. My daughter and I garden together.

Music:

I love so many kinds of music I could fill a million pages on it. I love everything from classical to rap. I let my son introduce me to rap because I didn't want to be prudish like my parents' generation was about our music. I have come to really like some of it. I absolutely adore Eminem. Movies:

I like comedy best. I feel life is too serious right now and I don't like serious movies that make me sad, but I do enjoy a well produced and well acted drama.I LOVE my son's film, which you can see the trailer for here, "Quality of Life".V V V V CHECK IT OUT, YO!

Television:

The Daily Show. Weeds, Real Time,Big Love, Lost, Jericho, of , The Colbert Report, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Meadowlands (not necessarily in that order).My biggest guilty pleasure is American Idol but it sucked a lot last season.

Books:

I'll read almost anything. I'm a readaholic. I guess my faves are Stephen King and Dean Koontz but I do read anything except cheesy romance novels. I like to read educational and historical books that are written in an interesting format. Text books bore me. Some books actually change your life like "Autobiogophy of a Yogi" and the "Celestine Prophacies." The latter is an awesome book. I even read that one twice and may read it again, something I almost never do.
