A slim, smooth firecracker from Centerville, Illinois, Alpine knows how to hustle. He’s been doing it for ten years—performing in shows, practicing his flow, and otherwise perfecting his craft. He’s performed at the 2004 and 2005 Hip Hop Summits as well as at Nelly’s birthday party. Alpine credits his musician father for inspiring him by placing a guitar in his hand at a tender age. The oldest of five children with a less-than-ideal parental situation, Alpine’s done what he’s needed to do to take care of business while working his grind. His extensive, hard-hitting hustle’s taken him to Detroit, Canada, and Atlanta, where he’s handed out CD’s, met DJ’s, and basically done all he can do to get ahead. Alpine’s sound is as fresh as his image is beguiling; his style and flavor give him a substantial edge.
