Aloha Mischeaux is more than just your typical singer. She is a youthful, multitalented artist ready to set a new standard for the music industry. Aloha has dominated performances and competitions, winning numerous awards and recognition for her undeniable talent as a singer. She has already exhibited her star power to millions of people as one of the top 24 finalists on American Idol’s 4th Season. Additionally, she has experience in song writing, dancing and acting. Calling her a triple threat would be an understatement! Aloha was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 5, 1986. She has been melting audiences from coast to coast since she began her performances career singing at the early age of three, rehearsing and performing with her church choir as well as performing in local talent shows throughout her childhood.
While attending the University City school district she participated in the school choir and won several choral competitions. During high school she took part in several activities including the dance squad and theater. Aloha was a favorite among her classmates. She was consecutively voted Best Singer and Most Popular every year, and concluded her senior year as Prom Queen. Following high school, Aloha further honed her talent at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City. Training endlessly day in and day out in the arts of theatre, musical performance, tap, jazz, and ballet. There in the big city, Aloha quickly adapted to the fast paced, aggresive, go-getter attitude of making it. There was no stopping her. As a top 24 finalist in the 4th season of American Idol, Aloha owned definately owned up to those characteristics. With her hard work and determination, there's no surprise why she was praised for her superb showmanship in front of 34 million viewers. The judges and fans alike were stunned and disappointed to see her departure from the show. Despite her exit, Aloha continued to pursue her singing career by spending numerous hours in recording studios, writing and recording original material, for herself as well as other artist. As she still performed around locally and nationally, she continued to develop her unbelievable performance skills. She is currently working on her own project which features a sound of her r&b and gospel influences as well as fusing alternative rock and pop together to create a soulful yet youthful sound that music is missing right now.
Featured on the project will be one of her newest songs, My Man, an upbeat and contemporary R&B melody complimented by a smooth and lush vocal arrangement. Whether writing a song about love, God or life in general, Aloha seeks to combine poignant melodies with lyrics that inspire her audience to look at life through her eyes and her experience, at the same time revealing through her lyrics and performance that we are all the same.
