DA' POET

At 28 years of age, Cyn Da’ Poet knows she has found her calling. Born in El Salvador, Cyn and her family moved to Los Angeles when she was only one year old. Growing up in the LA area allowed her to surround herself with a diverse culture and community which helped nurture her natural talent as a writer and artist. She began the writing process at 14 years of age, but it wasn’t until a couple of years ago that she recognized her ‘random thoughts on paper’ as poetry. From then on, she began performing her work at different venues, and until this day continues to develop as a spoken word artist, reaching out to people with poems that relate to issues many can connect to. Cyn Da’ Poet stretches her talent not only as poet and performer, but also as organizer and host of events that allow others to showcase their work. She is currently working on her first book, and is experimenting with incorporating music into her poems in hopes of developing a new genre. Cyn hopes to become the voice for those who have silenced their own, and there is no doubt that with the capacity of her words she will not only alleviate hearts, but also conquer them along the way. ************************************************************ ************************ A los 28 años de edad, Cyn da' Poet (La Poeta) sabe que ha encontrado su vocación. Nacida en El Salvador, Cyn y su familia se movieron a Los Ángeles cuando tenía tan sólo un año de edad. Crecer en el área de LA le permitió que ella se rodeara con una cultura diversa y una comunidad que le ayudó a nutrir su talento natural como escritora y artista. Ella comenzó ha escribir a los 14 años de edad, pero no fue hasta hace un par de años que ella reconoció sus 'pensamientos arbitrarios en papel' como poesía. A partir de entonces, ella comenzó a realizar su trabajo en locales diferentes, y hasta este día sigue desarrollando como artista y poeta, tendiendo la mano a la gente con poemas que están relacionados a temas con los que muchos se pueden identificar. Cyn Da’ Poeta estira su talento no sólo como poeta y artista, sino también como organizadora y anfitrióna de eventos que permiten a otros mostrar su trabajo. Ella trabaja actualmente en su primer libro, y experimenta con la incorporación de la música en sus poemas en esperanzas de desarrollar un nuevo género. Cyn espera ser la voz para aquellos que han tenido que callar la suya, y no cabe duda de que con la capacidad de sus palabras ella sólo no aliviará corazones, sino también los conquistara a lo largo del camino.
