2008 Hoping for Hoping Peacefest is happening soon...people be gettin' excited, oh, yeah! It's our fifth anniversary this year, and this one has the potential to be the best one yet. Come be part of the magic June 13 to 15, 2008.Once again, Kunlun Gardens in Longtan, Taoyuan County is the venue for three days of peace, love, and music in the mountains. Come on out and raise your consciousness, connect with your fellow humans, boogie to the beats, jam, explore, make new friends, relax, and feel the temperature of peace.Live bands start Friday evening and will be followed by DJs. Live music on Saturday kicks off around noon and music goes into the wee hours. Sunday features music that goes all afternoon.****** As always, Peacefest proceeds (after covering festival expenses) go directly to charity. Food and merchandise vendors on-site also contribute a portion of their profits to the selected charities. ******This year's beneficiary charities are Taiwan International Worker's Association; TransAsia Sisters Association, Taiwan (TASAT); Basic Human Needs; Adopt-A-Minefield.org; and Compassion International Taiwan.Peacefest CDs will be available on site.
