AG was born in the literal Bat Cave of singer/lyricist Pat Carter's basement as an Alt-Country band.
Featuring all acoustic instruments and a snare drum, songs began to grow like weeds in an abandoned parking lot......
With lyrical content reminiscent of hard '50's-'60's outlaw country and simple but catchy country/southern/western flavored tunes and grooves, the music began to shape up nicely.
Subject matter included such heart warming topics as revenge, murder, bar-room brawling, bar-room romance, living on the edge, substance abuse and alcoholism, along with the occasional out of place love song.
Then the inevitable happened: Electricity.
Les Paul's, Marshall stacks, double-kick drum kits and SVT rigs took over the Pat-Cave, and the ABLAZING GRACE sound grew from
"Ain't that cute..." to "Oh my God!"......
The music took on a dark life of its own, practically writing itself, depicting today's world as a Twenty First Century Wild, Wild West, and even being labeled by one critic as "The Soundtrack to HBO's 'Deadwood' on crack."
