About Me

I am the quintessential Marvel character. Although a super hero, I spared none of the slings and arrows of ordinary life; I experience difficulties with friends, family, sweethearts and employers. My powers enable me to do good, but not to improve my own lot in life, and it is my simple humanity, rather than my exotic talent, that has won myself millions of enthusiastic fans. I am one super-hero who has not lost the common touch, and in fact I am frequently described as "your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."

My Interests

I was only a young boy when my parents died in a plane crash. I immediately moved in with my fathers older brother and wife. Ben and Mary Parker were an elderly couple with no children of their own, and they raised me as if I were their son. They rarely spoke about my real parents, so I became convinced that my parents had left me because of something I had done. Afraid of being abandoned, I worked hard to win my uncle's approval - though I didn't have to worry. Ben and Mary truly loved me and would have done anything to please me.

I'd like to meet:

Martin Goodman: The first Spider-Man story was originally intended as no more than a one-shot experiment, and almost didn't get into print at all. "Martin Goodman didn't want to publish it." Goodman was convinced that readers would find the subject of spiders distasteful.
