"Everyone lives in a town and goes about their everyday life dreaming of a different world; yet very few people can take all these events and sculpt them into a piece of artwork that exposes forgotten about topics while still being able to put across the simple aspects of life that often seem to be lost in the murmur of the modern world. Rebecca Blackman learned to play keyboard at an early age and took classical piano lessons for a few years. She started singing much later... "Laaa"....

"In My Defence" is Rebecca's debut album, with 11 original songs, mainly piano-based acoustic music. Greatly inspired by the people around us, these songs are about everyday subjects with which listeners seem to easily but not always comfortably identify themselves.

This album has all been recorded, produced and mastered in our home studio, with Rebecca on piano, lead vocals and backing vocals. Musicians also on this album are:
