The Old Granary Studio, Norfolk, England

About Me

A warm welcome from Jill and Andrew Giller to our rural musical empire!!!

The Old Granary itself is part of the great Raveningham Estate which has been the ancestral home of Sir Nicholas Bacon's family for hundreds of years. The historic building was constructed in the 1790s and retains many original features of its agricultural past.
The Old Granary sets the backdrop in achieving the best artistic performance. It has been converted to provide a large open space which doubles as a recital hall and recording facility. With a raised platform at one end, large enough to accommodate two grand pianos, chamber orchestra or choir, complete with wonderfully responsive acoustics, described by visitors as a 'mini Snape Maltings'. There is seating for an audience of 120.
The Old Granary Studio was opened in June 2000 for the recording of classical music. A successful concert series was launched a year later and continues to flourish with twelve varied events each year.
