Mark Hertz & Wesley Vibes

Patrick Hertgers a.k.a Mark Hertz (18-12-1985) & Dirk-Jan Wessels a.k.a. Wesley Vibes (16-05-1986) are two dj’s and producers who already met up with the world of music at a young age. When they were ten and eight years old they played various instruments; keyboard, organ, piano and guitar. In 2001, when they turned fifteen years old, they got interested in the dj happening; together they bought two simple turntables, a two-channel mixer and a couple of records. After some practice they got better and better in mixing the records. After organizing a few parties in Rijssen (where they grew up), they got successful and were asked to become residents in local discobars and clubs. During a holiday in Turkey in 2004 they got in contact with an event organizer (J&S events) and played on different events in Alanya (of which The Auditorium). This was a major success and resolved in some bookings during the summer of 2005. They were booked for two techno- and house events in Zagreb (Croatia) and got to play with names like Marco Carola and Derrick May. In September 2004 these young talents moved to Rotterdam where they extended and developed their musical knowledge. In the meanwhile they created their own style and worked hard on their own productions. Various clubs in Rotterdam are known with the funky and minimal techno sounds of this duo. To become more professional the duo founded the company Architech-Productions in 2005. This company will organize various parties in Rotterdam in the coming years. With a team of five experienced people and some investors they are already organizing an event in Rotterdam that should return from time to time. Since January 2006 Mark Hertz & Wesley Vibes are cooperating with a very talented saxophonist (Roeland Grijpink) under the name of ‘Lords of Funk’.
