Thor el T is a very well known Dj as well as an experienced Sound Engineer and Producer. Everyone agrees on the fact that he’s great in “manipulating the sounds” with samplers and synths of any kind. He also can play percussion and keyboards, when that’s required.
In his spare time he writes reviews and collaborates with magazine such as Acid jazz, HipHopMag, New Age, JocksMag, the Guide and All Music Magazine.
BIO:
1986-1995: Thor el T started his carrear as a dancer, but very soon he become a dj and mc during the hottest years of the house and hiphop music._ Founder member of one of the most important crew in Italy so far, the Otierre, with Esa aka El Prez, he released some singles and an album for Century Vox-Sony_OTR performed live with rappers such as Public Enemy, Frankie Hi-Energy, Neffa and Articolo 31_Thor el T is considered by the people as one of the few precursors of hiphop and rnb music in Italy since the very beginning.
1995-1997: He started his Sound Engineer carrere in parallel to that of Dj_ He has worked in the most famous Swiss clubs as well as on the italian Adriatic coast well renomated club scene_His "Black Train" One Night at the Makkaroni Club in Riccione and at Treno di Mezzanotte Club jn Varese boasts the fixed presence of all the prominent characters of the hiphop scene of the time ( Sottotono, DJ Gruff, etc.)_ He worked with the likes of Tormento from Sottotono and Stritti. Then from Varese, the town where he used to live at the time, he moved to Pesaro where he bilt his own recording studio and started collaborating with people like Fabri Fibra, Dj Lato, Dj Rudy B and a lot of other mcs from the local scene, writing and producing more then a hundred tracks.
1997-2000: Thor el T collaborates with one of the most famous italian producers, Angelo Valsiglio (producer, among others, of Laura Pausini, I.Spagna, A.Oxa, London Beat)_ So he released the single “Mas Que Nada " ( 1998 ) with the featuring of jazz musician Martina Grossi that immediately got good results first in Italy ( Heavy rotation on Radio Deejay ) and then in Japan in the three following years, where it is still considered a very famous hit by someof the most relevant Japanese Djs like Muro and Hiroki and it always has been included by years in the their mix - cds_
2001-2003: He met the famous bass player Tony Corizia (www.tonycorizia.net) and they started together a very strong musical partnership _They wrote and produced together the soundtrack of the video game Batman: Dark Tomorrow (Kemco - Japan)_ Two years of work, divided among Milano, Frankfurt, London and Tokyo, with the recording of the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra with Tot Taylor (Bjork) at the Abbey Road Studios – London. In the meantime they have also produced tracks and official rmx for some new pop italian artists like Daniela Pedali (San Remo 2003), Gemini, Chakra and S.O.S and the musics for Auchan and Kawasaky News websites_In the sector charts of Bargiornale and Carnet magazines Thor el T is considered as one of the best alternative Djs around. He’s recently played at the Welfarre Club in Tokyo at the Premier of Batman Dark Tomorrow videogame with live broadcasts on both Japanese and American televisions.
2004: He worked with english singer Tim Bennett and Civilezed Tears and a brunch of new artists in South America ( Venezuela in particular)_He played some Dj sets in Chile too. He produced with Tony Corizia the Hit-Aliens single " Es la colegiala " published by Warner Music Italy_Tha track has been included in the All Music Dance video game( over 50000 sold copies around the globe!)_Hit-Aliens had a cover page on Acid jazz magazine_They had songs also included on the Sueno Tribal (mixed by Filippo Nardi) and on the Guide cd compilation (more than 15.000 copies sold)_He wrote and produced the music for Soda Plus TV show on All Music Television_Then he released a vinyl record of the theme song from the same tv show: " S.L.U.T." on Level One Records_Dj set at the Old Fashion Club in Milan at the exclusive party for the television show " La Talpa " ( Rai)_He has interviewed Kurtis Blow for Media Records cd compilation " Legends of hiphop", out on the Japan and Asian markets_He worked with club artists like Monica (Pascia Club-Riccione) from Harem B e Vanessa Jay (www.myspace.com/jayvanessa).
2005-2006: Thor el T has worked with producer Roberto Turatti ( Dan Harrow, Francesco Salvi, Papa Winnie)_He’s also present on the English club scene with a remix for the punk - house project Peep Show_He produced the first instrumental album of bass player Tony Corizia "Bassology" out on M.o.d.a. and distributed in Italy by Warner Music_Remixes for Milano Sound Machine “El taco eletronico” (Nikel Records), Handy Hang " Back to the future house " and hiphop New York project Crisis "All night long" (Block records)_
