George LaitmerHe was born in Thessaloniki in 1971 and moved to Athens in 1981. He studied Dentistry at the University of Athens, but since 1996 he has been working professionally as an airbrush artist.
His early work included design in interiors, shop windows and shop signage. He also painted murals in houses and children’s rooms.
He worked with architects, advertising agencies, and theatres and with companies organizing events and setting up kiosks in exhibitions. His experiments with new techniques and materials gave a unique character to his work, satisfying even the most demanding customers.
In 2000 he began collaborating with car body repair shops and became known for his work on helmets, bikes, trucks, cars, musical instruments, computers, etc.
By 2003 he was already an experienced airbrush artist, and joined the artistic team that designed the opening ceremony of the Athens Olympic Games in 2004. During the last few years, he has received commissions all over Greece, and since 2004, his work has been winning awards at the annual Truck Festival.
