Dj WhoAmI was born in Athens in 1972 and grew up between Athens and Cairo. In 1987 after a couple of months in NYC and the Philadelphia 76ers basketball camp hip-hop music and culture becomes his main influence. Professionally djing since 1992 has played literally in any club worth playing at in Athens (Soul, Venue, Plus Soda, Club 22, U-matic, Z-oo, Bar Guru Bar, Privilege, Crystal, Yoga Bala, Home, Bo, Danza, Follie, 1-22 to name just a few). At the moment he holds residencies every Friday @ SANTA BOTELLA UPSTAIRS and together with dj Everlast as “Basic Groove” once a month @ Yoga-Bala spinnin’ and mixin’ a wide range of black music from Funk, Soul, Reggae to Hip-Hop and Breaks. Active also as a promoter running 1-22 for six strait years (1999-2004) has organized numerous events and invited djs and mcs from all over the world (Maxi Jazz, Keith Lawrence, Total Science, Manasseh, Spikey T, Starting from Scratch, dj Starsky, Ras Styler…)
