About Me

Ultan Conlon is an emerging talent from the West of Ireland. At the age of 27 he already has two solo projects under his belt - a live E.P. in 2002 and his self-titled E.P. in 2005. His latest project saw him joining forces with a fellow Galwayman, John Conneely, for the interesting live act that is UltanJohn (www.myspace.com/ultanjohn) Ultan's songs have garnered a lot of interest, with one of his tracks featuring in a British short film "The Beholder", which featured at the Cannes Film festival. Last year the legendary John Martyn featured on a recording of one of Ultan's songs "Really Gone". Ultan has played at the Electric Picnic, and he has supported John Martyn, Mark Geary, Roesy, Sabrina Dinan,David Kitt and The four of Us amongst others.Recording a debut album is underway in "The Black House" Which is a secet location at the back of beyond on the planet of Naboo. There will be lots of old and new songs recorded and at the moment it is uncertain which ones will make it on to the finished record. There are some great musicians bringing there talent to the table so watch this(my)space....
