Luke Devlin

Based in Blessington in Co.Wicklow I have been writing songs for my own amusement for a couple of years now.I initially recorded "Breathe" and some other early songs at the suggestion of friends and was quite surprised at the positive feedback received. Shortly after, "Breathe" was then chosen to be part of a compilation album of original music from Dublin called "Songs from the Suburbs" which recieved good reviews and sold pretty well.This song was then picked up by local radio stations KFM RADIO in Kildare and BLESSINGTON FM in Wicklow and received cosiderable airplay and a fantastic response. Recently I wrote a new song with talented irish composer Paula Lynch entitled "Searching the world".The song is based around a piano composition entitled "The Angler".When i first heard a recording of this composition, the lyrics and melody of "Searching"came almost as a subconcious flow and appear on the finished song almost word for word from that first listen. This song has recently received great airplay from KFM RADIO and again the feed back has been amazing. It is my intention now to concentrate on writing and recording for the coming months with a view to having an album of work available for the early part of 2008.
