The 'dotte Arts Project, also known as the 'dAP, was founded to promote emerging arts in Wyandotte, Michigan. We show artists from Wyandotte and all of Metro-Detroit. Our focus is emerging artists of all kinds including fine art, music, performance, poetry and prose. We look for the established as well as emerging. -----------------------------------------------------------T hroughout the year we plan to have our main festival with the Wyandotte Street Art Fair but also art openings and poetry readings throughout the year. -----------------------------------------------------------T he 'dAP at the Wyandotte Street Art Fair was a success in it's first year. The public and many city officials called it the best part of the Wyandotte Street Art Fair. We featured an artist tent and there were some artists spread out on the sidewalk as well. The artists were happy with the success of the festival and they sold their work as well. The graffiti wall was so well recieved we were more than pleased--we were floored with families of many generations taking photographs in front of it. And it was on television all morning long during the FOX 2 News Zip Trip on Friday morning of the festival. Thank you Brown Bag Detroit and Jordan Roxwell Our music and performing arts stage featured some of the best acts Detroit has to offer including Big Black Cloud, icrime,T. Money Green & Roadwork, Our Brother the Megazord, Groupo Escobar, Elise McCoy, Ryan Dillaha, Cardinals, CDO Michigan Capoeira, Roy Scoutz, Kevin Still, milieu, Audra Kubat, Michael Shilakes, Nathan Montgomery, The Big Family Mountain Band, McCabe's Ladies, Spoken Word by Cheri Taylor, Valerie Kearns, Patrick Smith, Robert George Taylor and reading a passage from his new book Crystal was Dan Jones.
