About Me

Assimilator was formed in the sweltering summer of 2004, by four guys from four different places, all with different backgrounds and influences to bring to the table. Jay Scilla, Ryan Olszewski, Jeff Miller, and Johnny Matter "became the band." After countless mind melding jams, songs began to form. The four didn't know what they could call such an anomaly, only that there would be necessity for a new genre called grindthrashrocknoisecore, or reallyfuckingheavyandloudcore. Countless name changes, and plenty of beer later, Assimilator was born. 2005 was a pretty good year.....lots of shows, positive feedback and good times. The band got to work on recording 8 songs for their first CD.In April 2006 guitarist Ryan decided to leave Assimilator to pursue other interests......check out his country band called Mud River on myspace.Jeff has joined Mendozza and you can check them out on myspace.Johnny has joined Mudlark and you can check them out at myspace.Jay has joined Mudlark, Noise Tribe Zero, and Osk check them out on myspace.Thank you to all the friends who have helped and supported us along the way. We hope you enjoy our new projects as much as you enjoyed Assimilator.We are still planing on release our only recording ever some time in the near future for those who are interested. We will keep you posted.
