The story...
Between a jagged mountain scenery with soughing mountain streams, beautiful lakes, lush meadows and embedded forests, right here in the heartland of Europe - Switzerland - were two individuals (Tom Galbardi and Pascal Iten) who founded the band KAYANO sometime in the year 2003. In the last three years we had some personnel rearrangements and we've been busy composing the first set of KAYANO songs. At the end of our first songwriting period we came up with a good set of nicely grown pop and rock songs. The band's influences are based on the '80s and '90s pop and rock music, without being old-fashioned. It's a fresh and melodic experience! The music is characterized by a powerful female voice combined with singing and screaming lead guitar melodies.
Since fall 2006 the band has the current and final line-up as shown on the portrait picture. KAYANO is ready to hit the roads and is looking forward to perform at different locations across Central-Europe.
Well... Let's see what the future might bring! You'll never know. We're ready to rock and we hope we see ya soon - anywhere - anytime!

Band Contest Winner!!!

Yesterday evening we played for a local band contest in Chur, Switzerland and the news couldn't be any better. The band played together with acts like "Slither" and with the awesome headliner "Maeder"...
