Serving on 11 ships in all, my most memorable tour of duty was aboard my beloved Enterprise. Not the Enterprise bloody A or B or C or D, the original starship, U.S.S. Enterprise. First under the command of Captain Christopher Pike and then serving as Chief Engineer and Second in Command under the legendary Captain James T. Kirk.
After a lifetime of adventures, I resigned my commission from Starfleet and took passage aboard the U.S.S. Jenolan, in order to make my way to the Norpin V colony as I was looking forward to a well-earned retirement. As fate would have it, the Jenolan crashed into a Dyson Sphere. With life support running low and death staring me in the face, I did the only thing I could think of and rigged the transporter to hold me in suspended animation.
Some 75 years later, rescue came in the form of the Enterprise-D commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. They found me, recovered my atoms from the pattern buffer and brought me back to life. I returned the favor by devising a way for the new Enterprise to escape the Dyson Sphere (with a wee bit of help from a nice lad named Geordi LaForge). In appreciation, Picard "loaned" me the use of the Goddard, a type-6 shuttlecraft which I have since modified to suit my needs.
Realizing I still love the excitement of space exploration, I've put off my retirement for now and sail throughout the stars looking for new adventures.
