About Me

Started as a duo late December 1995. Grew during the next years to a sextet in 1998. Were back to a quartet that Autumn and are now a part-time trio. In 1999 we changed our name to the much easier The Primates to get more gigs (didn't work) and in 2006 we tried to get a myspace-page with that name, but discovered that there were at least three different bands named The Primates on Myspace (one active and pretty good http://www.myspace.com/theprimatescouk) and changed back to our old name. (More will come). And now it comes (some of it). Members that have been important: Gunnar Mohlin (rhythm guitar, slide guitar, keyboards, bass) 1995-, Henrik Östlund (lead guitar, bass, lead vocals) 1995-1996 (RIP 2000), Ronnie Larsson (lead vocals) 1996-2003, 2004-, Peter Nylén (lead guitar, bass, vocals) 1996-1998, 2002-2004 (RIP 2004), Mattias Eriksson (later Telldén) (drums, vocals) 1996-1997, 1998-2000, Per Edin (lead guitar, harmonica, vocals) 1997-2003, Pär Andersson (bass) 1998, Mats Jingerås (drums) 1998, Roger Keller (drums, bass, keyboards, guitar) 2000-, Robert Jelicic (lead vocals, harmonica) 2003, Urban Carli (Lead guitar, vocals) 2004-2006 (part time), 2007- (full time).

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Ronnie Larsson (Lead vocal), Gunnar Mohlin (Rhythm guitar, slide guitar, almost every guitar you can imagine, but no leads or solos), Roger Keller (Drums, bass, keyboards, computers, guitar, etc., etc.), Urban Carli (Lead guitar, vocals)
Influences: A lot of the rock music from the early 70s, but blues (Gunnar has listened to A LOT of blues), country, pop, and lot of other music have influenced us in our songwriting and playing.
Sounds Like: Hard to tell. But maybe a little punkier/funkier/rollingstonesier Status Quo or something like that. We play boogies, ballads, blues, funkrock, etc. Easier when you can listen to some of our songs.
Record Label: unsigned
Type of Label: None
