NAILSHITTER is a brutal Death Metal band based out Daytona Beach, FL. The band originally started out as just a side project between Mike Fortier and Glenn Wilkes (ex Wound Channel/Double Veteran). Unfortunitaly at the time with obligations to other bands and living in different areas of FL made things difficult to get things going. In May of 2005, Mike (also a promoter in the Orlando, FL area) was in need a band for the FL fest dubbed the "Grindathon" that seemed to be plagued with band cancellations. So he contacted Glenn and Robbie Young (ex Wound Channel/Double Veteran) who were both in one of the bands that canceled. With their first show already booked and only three days to get the band going. The band was able to pull off the show with a great response.
A month later, NAILSHITTER started recording there first EP "From the Bowels of the Impaled" at Lakeside Studio in Deland, FL. This album consists of the 5 songs that were written in the first three days of the bands conception.
In September of 2005, Adam Mayberry, who also was a former member of Wound Channel joined NAILSHITTER filling in the bass duties.
Since then NAILSHITTER has become a devastating force in the FL Extreme Metal Underground. Playing over 30 shows across the state of FL and opening for such acts as Suffocation, Origin, Necrophagia, Vital Remains, Incantation, Despised Icon, Bodies in the Gear of the Apparatus, Crimson Massacre and many more. On July 31st, 2006 their debut MCD "From the Bowels of the Impaled" was released on Brutal Bands records new subsidary label Extreme Underground Records. In November of 2006 Daniel Gonzalez was added to the line up as second guitarsit.
