KRIS JUNG, founding member of Alternative / Hard Rock bands SHOECRACKERS OF BETHLEHEM and RADIO FREE AMERICA and newest creation...BLACKCAST wrote, sang and played all of the instruments on his rock album "ANYWHERE", with the exception of KEVIN J. DRAKE (30 Seconds to Mars, The Hopps) who added some lead guitar and STEVE DEUTSCH (Spacebar Recordings, founder of the Micro Plant, LA, MARS) who played bass on “LOVELY”.“ANYWHERE was produced by STEVE DEUTSCH (Graham Lindsey, Mountain Con) and mixed by BJORN THORSRUD (Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan).When the Shoecrackers of Bethlehem played LA’s Troubadour they set the attendance record for an unsigned band, where they next went on to open for Incubus. In 2001 they metamorphosized into RADIO FREE AMERICA and released an early song “Train” to a compilation for Kid Antrem Music.MUSIC CONNECTION honored RFA with a slot in their TOP 25 DEMOS of 2002. They were speaking of their 10 song CD “THE SONG THAT SAVED MY LIFE” when M.C. magazine said they “..manage to combine muscular hard rock with punky-pop rock..impressive guitar attack and whiplash vocals”.KRIS is one incredible beatboxer. He is featured in the definitive beatbox documentary “BREATH CONTROL”. His performance “LIQUID BUTTERFLY” is included in the beatbox compilation album “The HUMAN ELEMENT” (High Times/108 Records) where Tom Doggett of Rap Reviews.com hailed it as “..the best song on the album ...” Kris has been seen opening up for BIG DADDY KANE, KOOL MOE DEE and STYLES of BEYOND.
