Skinny Buddha Productions is an independent local production outfit which started in 2002. Initially conceptualized to be an organizing unit for events of various nature, it has since become one of Cebu's handful production outfits who organize local concerts that feature some of Cebu's best rock acts as well new and up and coming bands. Some of the artists that have played on Skinny Buddha organized events include Urbandub, the Ambassadors, Faspitch, Smooth Friction and Powerspoonz. In addition, several bands from outside of Cebu have also played on Skinny events, namely Point Click Kill from Iloilo, Nuncyspungen and Gasulina from Cagayan De Oro, as well as Manila bands Menaya, Twisted Halo and Hale. Since its inception, Skinny Buddha has also been involved in a number of other events involving other production units namely Indie Culture, Urge Magazine and Lighter Press/Records.
