About Me

Traffic is a music led, content based publication dedicated to electronic music of all kinds, from house and Techno, through IDM, Nu Rave, Electro to Dub DnB and Hip Hop. We aim to celebrate the growing scene by promoting local artists and reporting on national and international events. Month by month, we’ll bring you news, reviews and listings of what’s going on in and around the area and provide an outlet for the countless Djs, producers and bands this scene has to offer.Traffic started life as a Leeds based magazine reporting on all things Electronica and has quickly grown to cover Manchester, Huddersfield, Bradford and their surrounding areas. We are always on the lookout for creative people. If you have any ideas on how to improve the magazine feel free to express them at [email protected] If you’d like your night/podcast/radio show to appear in our listings section, email the details to [email protected]
Previewed on this page you’ll find a selection of new and soon to be released tracks from artists that we feel deserve a special mention.
Andre Crom ‘Bodentumen’ - Leftroom Records kick start 2007 in style with this bouncy and infectious electronic groove. Simple and straight forward, this track has already found favour on the dance floors of Technique, Dirty Disco and Basics. www.myspace.com/andrecrom909
Spirit Catcher ‘Mowtown Spring’ - Ralph Lawsons 20/20 imprint have just released Spirit Catcher ‘Night Vision’ and this is the opening track. A chilled out organic track, this is perfect to get you in the mood for summer. www.myspace.com/spiritcatcher1
Speculum ‘The Menace’ - Leeds based upstarts return with more mayhem in their trademark style. Already gaining fans in the shape of James Zabiela and Phil Kay, watch out for these guys in the coming months. www.myspace.com/speculum2
