Roberto Maccagno

He was born in Torino, North Italy, and then transplanted to the small town of Bra, Cuneo disrict. He is among the most requested sound engineers both in Italy and abroad. He has been cooperating for some years to international plans for various recording Majors (Bmg, Universal, Wea) as both a sound mix engineer or mastering egineer on roving from pop to rock (Alejandro Sanz, Ana Belen, Monica Naranjo, Ricky Martin, Mike Ogletree of Simple Minds, The Corrs, Mario Frangulis, Lena, Anais, Yahir, Chambao, Alexandre Pires, Jerry Rivera, Antonino, Mario Lavezzi, Matia Bazar, Las Ketchup, Queco, Olga Tañon, Montaner, Noelia, Niña Pastori, Ketama, Rafa Vergara, Sergio Dalma, Camaron -digital remix and mastering, Manuel Carrasco, Millie, Emanuel Acha, Manuel Carrasco, UPA Dance, Gisela, Armando Manzanero, Fernando Osorio, Buen Color, Antonio Romero, Manu Tenorio, Andy & Lucas, Malù, Manuel Mijares, Cristian Castro, Lydia, …) from jazz to classical music (Billy Cobahn, Furio di Castri, Paolo Fresu, Maurizio Gianmarco, Deen Johnson, Ron Vincent, George Garzone, Gruppo Cameristico “A. In the 2001 edition of Latin Grammy Award which took place in Los Angeles he received three Grammies for the record of the Spanish artist Alejandro Sanz “El Alma Al Aire” as “Record of the year” and one more Grammy for Armando Manzanero’s “Duetos”. In 2004 he won a Latin Grammy Award for the record "De Mil Colores" of the Spanish singer Rosario Flores, a well known artist famous also as an actress in the movie by Pedro Almodovar "Habla con ella". He has totalized more than sixteeen nominations for the Latin Grammy Awards. In spite of his growing international activity, he continues to hold his recording studio in Bra, the REM Studio, which was founded in the Eighties together with Emanuele Ruffinengo and goes on doing a passionate activity as a producer for new talents.
