I'm a 50 year old office worker from Liverpool, but originally from Beccles in Suffolk. Hope to eventually retire there, but have a few more years to go yet!!! Although I am now 50, I never really grew up, and in my heart I still feel (and act), as though I am only 18!! Love vocal group harmony (Doo Wop) especially the white group sound and was a big fan of the 70's revival groups like Darts, Rocky Sharpe/Razors, Sha Na Na, Flying Pickets. Now-a-days, my fav. group is the (British) Roomates, who have three excellent albums released, with a fourth due for release shortly. Bob Fish, one of the original lead vocalists of the Darts is my all time fav. vocalist, who has a beautiful, stunning voice so pure and true, it can bring a tear to the eye. I love most foods, traditional English, Chinese, Indian, Italian. My fav food is Rib Eye Steak - well done, with all the trimmings, e.g. sweetcorn, baby carrots, garlic mushrooms, onion rings, jacket potato. Love strong cheeses as well!! My fav drink?? Its a classic and an aquired taste, Dark Rum and alcoholic pink cloves. Tell ya, what, you dont need many of them, and you're anybodies, Rum and Pink Cloves (made by Phillips or Bristol - along with several other alcoholic mixers) was originally an old Fishermans favourite tipple. Pink Cloves is quite hard to find in the pubs now-a-days, you cant find it in Liverpool pubs at all anymore. I think I had the last one, at the George and Dragon Pub in Birkenhead many years ago, and they never bother to get any more in after I finished the bottle - I was the only one who drank the stuff, and even in East Anglia, there are only a few pubs that still serve it. Shame really - but as I say it is an aquired taste. I love a tipple though, mainly rum, whisky, drambuie, Southern Comfort - ahh yes, another fav of mine, I love whisky together with drambuie - otherwise known as a 'Rusty Nail'. Many a fine night has been had drinking those!!! Other favs of mine are 'parfait amour' a particular sweet purple coloured drink that reminds me of turkish delight, Creme De Menthe, Baileys. I also love clove sweets, they taste just like the drink, and impossible to find in Liverpool, so I order mine on line from a shop in Southwold. My fav. t.v. programmes, are reality t.v. I love make-over programmes, the gorier, the better, soap operas, classic British Sitcoms. My all time fav was 'Please Sir', recently released on dvd at long last!!!! I love shopping and and being pampered and spending money -well, who doesnt??? About six or seven years ago, I finally bought something i had been after for years - a bath with jets!! I call it my jacuzzi - it sounds much more posh!!!! Oh yes, love the mathmos lava lamps as well, I remember them from first time around, and am currently looking for a gold and silver one!!!Thats me anyway - as long as I have a penny in my pocket I'm happy.VISIT MY 'PLEASE SIR!'
