THE LAST ALBUM: EYES FROM THE ASHES OF AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU is a major national touring exhibit and book celebrating the lives of those who were to later die in the gas chambers of Auschwitz. See family pictures, just like you put on MySpace, that were brought by the deportees to the concentration camp, where they were confiscated and marked for destruction in a cultural purging. One box survived, and Peoples Street is marking Holocaust rememberance month with an exhibition of photos from that archive. Come see this landmark show, meet author Ann Weiss, who rescued these pictures, and become part of photo history in Corpus Christi yourself.
