About Me

My Space or Yours? Myspace Layouts and more at myspaceoryours.net!
Now, this is an extremely difficult question for me to answer fully and honestly. I am a work of God's art in progress. Progress, however, is such a relative word. For me, I believe, it all comes down to focus. I am interested in everything, and I find the world a most exhilirating and wonderful place to live in, whilst, at the same time, I often despair over the state of the world, and the general malaise of the human race. I believe that I am of a dichotic nature, yet I always attempt to relate oppossing theories, opposite points of view, different pools of ideas laced into one lucid reflection upon which all it is based upon actually becomes rational. I find the disharmony of so much of life to be terribly unfair and upsetting. Just when I am about to give up on the entire human race, I witness perfection in the soul of the most unexpected,an act so profound that one simply cannot help reevaluating their own life, and it reminds me of why we are all here: TO BECOME PERFECT - to strive towards perfection, not to be perfect. I'd like to meet:

Eventually...Christ.In the here and now, however, I would like to meet anyone and anything of substance and beauty. There is so very much in this world to learn and experience, that not to do so would be an insult to one's intellect, and a great loss in their life. However; I am human, and therefore susceptible to the occassional whim of fantasy: Mozart, J. S. Bach (and his sons), Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, F. J. Hayden, Albinez, Debusy,Puccini, Verdi, Rossini, Massenet; Michelangelo, Caravagio, Monet, Degas, Raphael, Gauguin, Manet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall; Renee Fleming, Kiri Te Kanawa, Placido Domingo, Maria Callas, George Michael, Ricky Martin, Enio Morriconi, Enrique Iglesias, The Celtic Woman, Jim Brickman, George Winston, Charlotte Church, Josh Groban, Harry Connick, Jr., Richard Clayderman; Socrates, Plato, Homer, Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Emily Dickenson, Anne Tyler, Laura Hillenbrand, Isabel Allende, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Guiseppe Lampedusa; Secretariat, A. P. Indy (actually, we have met, so to speak), Barbaro; a world free of hatred and polarization and a human race capable of love, patience, knowledge, and tolerance. Most importantly, however, I would like to meet myself - my inner self, the authentic - the true - me.

Music:

Although I am a clasically trained pianist, I quite enjoy most types of music. There is so much talent and substance in the musical world, and, sadly, far too much of it goes unnoticed. Alas, life is not always fair to the fairest!"The Title of Liberty"Celtic Women at the Helix Center in Dublin

Books:

The Holy Bible, The Book of Morman, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price, my personal journal...ANY and ALL with substance and reason. Every good book deserves a fair reading, and every book deserves a fair fight. As Mark Twain once commented: "A man who doesn't read good books is no better than a man who can't read at all". A few favourite authors would be (a limited list, you must understand!)Hemingway, Faulkner, James Joyce, F, Scott Fitzgerald, most of the ancient Latin and Greek poets and scholars, Shakespeare, Marlowe, Byron, Keats, both Shelly's, both Brownings, Chaucer, C.S.Lewis, James Joyce, Freud, the Rennaisance writers and moralists, the Founding Fathers, Frank McCourt, Marguerite Henry, William Nack, Anne Tyler, Laura Hillenbrand, Alice Sebold, Ken Follett, Robert Ludlum, Dick Francis, Tennessee Williams, Thomas Hardy, the diaries of the great composers, musicians, artists, inventors, innovators, thinkers, philosophers, etc, Milan Kundera, Emerson, Thoreau, Madame de Staehl, Gertrude Steine, Milton, Dante, Proust, Charles Frazier, Anne Frank, Guy de Maupassant...TO BE CONTINUED....
