"Tragic Vendetta" - Live at Full Battle Order 3rd March 2007
"Release In Demise" - Live at Full Battle Order 3rd March 2007
Four long years. In an increasingly fickle era where bands rise and fall in the same amount of time, Meza Virs have withstood everything life has thrown at them and have finally unleashed their long awaited full length album "Vida Sacrificium Meum Est" upon an unsuspecting world.
Hailing from the shores of Singapore, Meza Virs play a diverse blend of dark metal with a symphonic slant: Brutal, yet progressive and alluringly beautiful. Since their inception in mid 2002, the band has evolved from their black metal roots into something altogether different. Grinding, off-kilter rhythms and harsh roars often give way to lush acoustic instrumentation and soaring vocal melodies, only for the aural assault to crash down again when least expected.
The band can hardly be called predictable in any case : In 2003, they made what was probably the first professional-quality music video from a local metal band for the hugely popular song "Tragic Vendetta". They went on to gig intensively, playing alongside bands like Impiety and Abigail to rapturous response, before vanishing suddenly at their peak from the live circuit to concentrate on songwriting and the long, hard process of recording.
Armed with their debut album "Vida Sacrificium Meum Est", Meza Virs made a triumphant return to the stage in 2007 to rapturous response, inciting furious mosh pits and frenetic headbanging with their blistering live shows, while drawing overwhelmingly positive reviews of the album both locally and internationally.
With intense and experimental new material in the works, Meza Virs are set to take their brand of dark symphonic metal to the next level in 2007 and beyond, proudly keeping the flag of Asian extreme metal flying high towards international shores.

"Vida Sacrificium Meum Est is an impossibly accomplished specimen of symphonic metal polished to a thick black sheen." - The Aging Youth webzine
"...a thoroughly professional and slickly executed debut with none of that Satanism, death, war and torture themes so prevalent in this field." - Think Online
"..Meza Virs have the potential to play in the uppermost leagues of metal" -oblivion.de (9.5/10)
"The tunes are tight, the male growling vocals are evil while the female vocals by singer Jasmine are surprisingly powerful, sweet and lush. Technically speaking, this band's got it. " - Junk Magazine (4/5 stars)
