‘Curve’ is a Cambridge based organisation with Louis Cypher as its director, here is a brief write up about them below…
We are a ‘Musical Collaboration’, which consists of a number of talented musicians with diverse tastes in music, all to stimulate the auditory senses. Deriving from a broad spectrum of inspirations… The Styles and Themes of the ‘Curve’ Promoted Evenings are spontaneous and enticing. The nights cliental feel that Curve is a truly unique experience, and can easily adapt and evolve with whatever venue and audience it finds itself encountering.
Curve would like to view itself as a tight community of originally unheard, unsigned artists and musicians. Its main thesis is to extract and exhibit talented individuals’ capabilities to a wider forum. The movement embraces all aspects of creativity within dance, vocalism, musician, Djs and live percussion.
Examples of the ‘Curve’ vibe can be felt at the monthly night at the Fez Club in Cambridge entitled ‘Ricochet’. The night commences with an enticing medley of funk and soul to begin the celebrations, and then once a flow is achieved, the skills of live vocalist ‘Miles Sanko’ connect the music to a happy crowd. The genre of musical sensibilities then spookily transfers to a scratch/break beat/house that has you captivated and trapped until the end. Similar vibes are attributed to the ‘Sunday Salvation’ night, which is also held on a monthly basis at the Fez Club.
They are now embarking on a New Night in a New Bar... Rubix. Every Saturday at The Noble Art, East Road, Cambridge. Playing the usual Style of House & Breaks with Live Percussion and Guest Dj's. For more information please visit www.myspace.com/thenobleart or www.thenobleart.co.uk
