Howard Zinn-The Peoples History of the United States. Various Noam Chomsky (the short ones are easier). Recently read Lansgton Hughes-I Wonder as I Wander-that was good. The night is Dark and I'm far from Home is pretty amazing. I always loved Stephen King's - The Stand... Just read 1491 about the pre-colonial americas, amazing!
