THOSE GUYS is a reality/variety show created and produced by Deviant Sex Labs Productions and is focused on promoting and strengthening the local music scene in Columbus, Ohio. Currently in the developmental stages, the show will begin filming regularly in the Spring of 2007. Preliminary filming has already begun for the pilot episode.
THOSE GUYS is hosted by the notorious Columbus nightlife celebrity, Iowa, along with Shidoshi & WiKiD of the band All Known Aspects . Featuring an assortment of special co-hosts, live music performances, comedic skits and an endless parade of unpredictable and outrageous Columbus local personalities, THOSE GUYS parallels Dave Attell’s highly popular (but now cancelled) INSOMNIAC television series as aired on Comedy Central.
Due to the declining lack of interest and support in the Columbus music scene in recent years, DSL Productions developed the concept for THOSE GUYS as a way to invite the viewing public to catch a glimpse into how diverse and unique our city truly is and to give our local public the opportunity to not just watch rock stars perform – but to become ones themselves by appearing on the show! Columbus’ nightlife is undeniably an entity unto itself and THOSE GUYS is a tribute to all those who make it what it is.
You can expect stupid parlor tricks to win free concert tickets. You’ll go backstage at some of the best local shows in the city and see how Columbus bands party after hours! You’ll visit little known gems in the city you can incorporate into your own nightlife adventures and you’ll meet the unique individuals who add so much flavor and spice to Columbus’ cultural recipe!
