I am here for Friends

About Me

Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts
www.hostdrjack.comI call myself Dragon, and welcome to this little corner of My Space that has become my realm which I have named "Dragon's Lair". This is a fantasy world of castles, wizards, and (of course) dragons, and the warriors who will bravely use any means, using sword and/or sorcery, to defeat those terrible (but often peaceful and beautiful) creatures known as dragons. Perhaps, you have dragons of your own you must overcome. I'm sure each of us do. I wish you success in defeating whatever dragon is put in your path, whether you are a warrior in mind and spirit, or you are a warrior in the physical sense. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my page, and I hope I make some new friends along the way.

My Interests

www.hostdrjack.comI love the outdoors! I like camping, hiking, canoeing, fishing, and 4-wheeling (among other things, including just observing nature). I like to run, and I've run several half-marathons over the years and ran one full marathon before I reached 50. I hope to do another by fall of this year (2007). I'm fairly health-conscious, and I like to stay fit by working out and eating a heart-healthy diet. My age is catching up to me, though, and I'm starting to look more like those wizards of fantasy lore, but my body is still looking like a warrior, so I must say I'm kinda proud of that. I love to read whenever I have some quiet time to do so, but I stay pretty active, and I usually do most of my reading on the internet, because it's such a neat and fast way of learning about things. I'm a writer (of sorts). I have nothing published, but I've written hundreds of poems. Most of them are crap and need lots of tweaking, but there have been some good ones that come along, once-in-awhile. I've written a few short stories, and I've still been kicking around my first novel. THAT'S been several years! Maybe when I retire, huh? I'm an animal lover, and we (my wife and I) have 3 dogs. One is Mikey (my shepherd/rottweiler mix we adopted from the humane society), and Tootsie & Tater (Yorkshire terriers). We also have 2 cats (Snuggles & Sierra), and we have 2 hamsters (no names, and one keeps escaping). I love having family gettogethers. I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren, and they're the love of my life.
