We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that death will tremble to take us.

About Me

I have a penchant for pirates. I like good food and wine. I was born to dance, and I live for it. Music is what I eat for breakfast. Celebrity "culture" turns me the fuck off. I swear a lot. I belive in self-indulgence and hedonism wholeheartedly. I also believe in social responsibility. I watch a lot of movies. I barely watch T.V. My niece Layla Angel is my world. I am fiercly loyal. Any activity that makes me feel like a child is one that I will take up. I am a total freak at times. Just when you think you have me figured out, I may just change your mind....I have a penchant for pirates. I like good food and wine. I was born to dance, and I live for it. Music is what I eat for breakfast. I am both dark and light at once, and I embrace them both. My niece Layla Angel is my world. Celebrity "culture" turns me the fuck off. I swear a lot. I believe in self indulgence and hedonism wholeheartedly. I also believe in social responsibility. I watch a lot of movies. I don't watch any t.v. I am fiercly loyal. I make people laugh. I am honest to a fault, and I expect the same from those who enter into my life. Any activity that makes me feel like a child is one I will take up. I am a total freak at times. Just when you think you have me figured out, I may just change your mind and at the same time open it....

I'd like to meet:

Free thinkers. Sexy girls. Mischief makers. Magicians. Bad-asses. Kind hearted peeps. I am not interested in plastic people or potential boyfriends. I like irreverent intellegence, sarcastic wit, and those interested in being a part of counterculture in some form. I like to be around those who create, love deeply, and look beyond the surface to find beauty. If you can shake your booty to dirty, chunky, electronic music, we are already on the way to being friends....I now find it necessary to specify that I am NOT interested in "chatting" with random dudes on the internet. Sorry guys, not my thing.

Music:

Pretty much everything but vacuous, souless rap, and country. I especially like new wave, post-punk, indie rock, downtempo, electro, and house. I can dig Depeche Mode, New Order, Bauhaus, Joy Division, Love and Rockets, Styrofoam, The Postal Service, Ladytron, Swayzak, Sage Francis, The Roots, Brazilian Girls, Massive Attack, Nick Cave, The Pixies, Talking Heads, Lamb, The Cure, Smashing Pumpkins, Richie Hawtin, Matthew Herbert, Portishead, Snow Patrol, Citizen Cope, Blur, Tears For Fears, Aesop Rock, Blackalicious, Tribe Called Quest, Killing Joke, A Perfect Circle, Tool, Deftones, Jem, Fugazi, Bob Marley, The Killers, Modest Mouse, Built To Spill, LCD Soundsystem, Annie, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Leonard Cohen, Zero 7, Felix Da Housecat, Dj Shadow, Bad Religion, The Descendants, Cut Copy, The Gossip, Kazell, Basement Jaxx, Kenny Hawkes, Kosheen, Kristen Hersch, Kuma, The Smiths, Sia, The Streets, Aimee Mann, Tiga, Siouxsie And the Banshees, Kate Bush, Groove Armada, RJD2, Junior Boys, Derrick Carter, Mos Def, The Pharcyde, Ludacris, LTJ Bukem, Lady Sovereign, Hollertronix, Diplo, Ghostland Observatory, DJ Krush, The Knife, Common Market, Wu Tang Clan, Esthero, Hot Chip, Michael Franti And Spearhead, Miss Kitten, Wax Tailor, Devotchka, The Arcade Fire, Sunny Day Real Estate, Bloc Party, Various, Jeff Buckley, The Psychedelic Furs, The Herbaliser, Justin Timberlake (that's right), Ellen Allien, MSTRKRFT....

Movies:

I am a fan of all things bizzare and twisted. I like David Lynch and Tim Burton films. I also like David Cronenberg, Wim Wenders, Gus Van Sant, Lars Von Trier, Pedro Almodovar, Oliver Stone, Christopher Guest, Jean Pierre Jeunet, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Alfonso Cuaron, Alejandro Gonzales Inarritu, Darren Oronofsky, Christopher Nolan, Robert Altman... Documentaries are interesting as well, especially when they expose hipocrosies... The Princess Bride is one of my all time favorite movies. For real.

Television:

LOST!!! That is some fucking amazing television. Six Feet Under, Twin Peaks, Carnivale, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Project Runway, The Sopranos, and anything on The Food Network or The Science Channel is worth mentioning as well.

Books:

David Sedaris, Chuck Palahniuk, Rumi, Ranier Maria Rilke, Charles Bukowski, Hunter S. Thompson, Irvine Welsh, William S. Burroughs, Wally Lamb, Janet Fitch, Kahlil Gibran...

Heroes:

My mother, the Dalai Lama, all of my beautiful and strong female friends, and myself.

Farewell to you, cesspool of all cesspools, Capitol Hill.

We have had a long, dragged out affair, you and I. It is time to end it. I have seen you go from bad to just plain uninhabitable over the last 14 years, and you are without redemption at this juncture...

A lament for the broken souls.....

I have cried far too many tears for the broken souls. I have been hurt, not because I am losing, but because they will never win. I have poured my blood, sweat, and tears into numerous attempts at men...
