Cricket Feet Casting is a company run by Bonnie Gillespie , indie film casting director, author of Self-Management for Actors , and weekly columnist for Showfax.com . Showcase coordinator Eitan Loewenstein is a headshot photographer and working actor, available through Origin Talent. Director Chil Kong has
served as the artistic director of Asia On Stage in Boston, the
director in residence with the San Diego Asian American Theatre Company, the artistic director of the Northwest Asian American
Theatre Company in Seattle, and the co-artistic director of the
Lodestone Theatre Ensemble in Los Angeles.
Why We're Doing This:
Showcases are an interesting blend of performance and marketing. When done right, the experience is exciting for the actors and inspiring for the industry professionals in attendance. Casting directors, agents, and managers want to know they're coming to see talented actors performing funny material that is perfectly-suited for each actor's primary casting type. They'll take away actors' finely-tuned marketing materials after enjoying a post-showcase reception with colleagues (and actors, who have been prepped for creating the most professional schmoozefest possible). And all of this will happen without actors having to break the bank.
Where and When This All Happens:
The "where" is the stunning Colony Theatre at 555 N. 3rd St. in downtown Burbank. As for the "when," we're putting up TWO FREE performances! Wednesday, April 16th and Thursday, April 17th. BOTH SHOWS begin promptly at 8pm. Thanks so much for your interest!
