About Me

So I feel like I should update this, not that there's really anything new to say. Still loving the music on MySpace, it constantly surprises me how many great bands there are to discover. I admire creative people, particularly those with the ability to make music, I would love to be able to do that! I spend much of my spare time online and can waste entire days doing not a lot of anything. I adore my niece and nephew. I work in a library. I am ridiculously shy. I worry that I could become a hermit if I allowed myself. Actually, I worry about everything. I am unfortunately addicted to reality TV. I am terrible at small talk but very opinionated about things that are important to me. I am basically a pessimist but suffer occasional bouts of rampant optimism. I think kindness is underrated. I still think I'm too cynical and introverted for MySpace./stylea href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LnBpbXAtbXktcH JvZmlsZS5jb20v" target="_blank"img src="http://content.pimp-my-profile.com/support2.gif" style="position:absolute;top:0px;left:0px;" border=0 alt="MySpace Layouts"/ap align=righta href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vd3d3LnBpbXAtbXktcH JvZmlsZS5jb20v"Generate your own contact table!/a/p

21st century hermit

I have just had a couple of weeks off work and it's disturbing how easily the days went by without me doing very much with them at all. I had planned to do all sorts of things - shopping, movies, visi...

Get em while theyre young

I believe I have reached the pinnacle of my life as an aunt - I have turned my seven year old niece into a Smiths fan. It happened by accident really, she wanted some music to dance to and I figured s...

Sleep is overrated

I don’t know how or why the insomnia started, but it’s plagued me on and off for the last few years. At one point I was so sleep deprived I would find myself nodding off at the most inappr...

Is it wrong not to always be glad?

I am not very good at being cheerful. Pessimism comes naturally to me, and it feels wrong not to be worrying about something. Expecting the worst means I’m often pleasantly surprised, even if I ...

A few weeks ago my internet connection was down and I was beside myself. I wasted most of the day sitting in front of the computer watching my modem flash at me, willing it to come back to life, and a...

Nothing changes on New Years Day

I have given up celebrating New Year's Eve. I can't deal with the expectation that I must have a great time, and it almost never happens. The last time I made a serious attempt was several years ago. ...
