LIVE, LOVE, LAUGH, LEARN... An open road and the perfect song, long distances or along the country roads behind my house, thinking deep thoughts or just enjoying the scenery. Exploring new places, trying new things, really unique cafes, restaurants & bars, interior decorating and designing. Hot tea (like everyday) & hot baths. Booze and Women! (My girlfriends and wine), Spas, Channeling my inner goddess and vixen, laughing, my family, my brother’s sense of humor, being queen, Lush gardens/patios at night lit up with string lights and fireplaces. Amazing food- that one day I would love to cook myself, when I learn to channel my inner iron chef. Holistic health, Yoga, and on occasion, a Bikram yoga warrior with my buddy Jess. Hiking, Snowboarding, Salsa dancing. Breakfast at Bloom on pico, and fresh carrot juice and mole burritos from the farmers market on Fairfax and third. This year I would like to learn how wakeboard, mountain bike and surf.
Friends..Friends of Friends...Vagabonds.
Miranda lambert. New strings is my road anthem. country music, in general, ask Lesley she had to live with it for a year or so. Thanks Les. Nikka costa is amazing, robin thick, and a Led Zeplin phase. Beyond that I appreciate everything and anything with a great melody and beat. In honor of that statement, My Ipod really doesn't make any sense nor speaks one language.
I really appreciate GOOD movies, and have a hard time sitting through BAD ones. Anything really funny, witty/well written, beautifuly shot (cinemetography) or romantic (Yup, chick flicks).
Thursday nights Greys Anatomy. Random TV Guilty pleasure? The Girls Next Door. Ok, there's no such thing as a guilty pleasure. I don't believe in Guilt. On occasion an HGTV, Food network and E! Junkie.
The Persistace of Yellow by Monique Duval. A so ME little book, I laughed tears because of it. last book I read: the tao of Pooh, now reading: ask and it is given, planning to read: a return to love, and Jenna Jamesons bio.
Inspirations: ERIKA, for your Rumba, being the gypsy vagabond that you are, and sharing with me the linguistic pleasure, of the word soliloquy rolling off your tongue. ANNA, for your magic hands: amazing massages, amazing food and amazing jewelry. My BROTHER, for expanding our family and bringing us closer together; I love my sister-in-law, and my beautiful niece and the niece on her way, and for keeping us laughing. TOMIKO, for your inner and outer beauty, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. You amazingly give and inspire so much. My MOM, for the woman (not mother) that you are, that I would someday like to get to know better. SHAWN, for a Great year. Thank you. LOVE, for all the amazingly pleasurable and sometimes painful but valuable lessons I have learned.
