Trying all the things a guitar has to offer

About Me

Hi from North Carolina. My name is George Shepherd. Been a fan of great guitar work since I was very young.
I grew up on the likes of Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Rush, Yes, Kansas. I also listened to a healthy dose of Santana and Al Dimeola while growing up.
These days, I listen to everything I can, especially from folks all the way from Acoustic Alchemy and Ottmar Liebert to folks like Eric Johnson and Steve Morse.
I'm also a board mod over at iMusicScene .
I have songs posted here at IMusicScene.
Here's the IMusicScene Myspace page.

Come on over and check it out. There's some great players over here, and always some good collaborations going on.
Here are some highlights of few other things I've done over the years:
"Mediterranean Deli" (2007) tribute to great local Chapel Hill Restaurant:
"I'll Hang Around" with Mike Nunley from 2006:
"Sitting Ovation" from 2007 (Ovation 1771LX jamming):
"Stormy Skies" from 2005 with Mike Nunley
"336 in the Morning" tribute to the Gibson CS-336. Everything on this song was done with a CS-336 in 2004:
Don't Ask Me Why from 2006 with Mike Nunley
"The Ballad of Strong Tom"-- backing track by Strong Tom over at IMusicScene from 2006
"Walk in the Dark" also with Mike Nunley 2006:
"For CT6-M Lovers" from 2005, everything on this track done with the Carvin CT6-M-- even the bass tones using a Danelectro Chili Dog
"Point of View" from our 1988 Level42 phase:
"The Words" from 1988:
"The Pleasure is Ours" from 1985:
70's progressive fans will like "Look Ahead" from 1985:
"Canyon Song" from 1986:
"Guitar Player Soundpage Entry from 1988" entered but didn't win that year.
