Marianda was born in Cyprus. At a very early stage of her life she followed her family to Greece, with a wiew of permanent residence in Athens. She is under the zodiac sign of CANCER and her birthday is on the 13th of July. Her nameday is on the 21st of November.She is particularly fond of animals, and she is keen on extreme sports, winter ski, cooking, and especially home made pastry!She was very young when she started to be occupied with music and sports. She was said to be one of the champions of the Panhellenic Athletic Club, specializing in apparatus work for at least 9 years.
In the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest that took place in Dublin (Ireland), she was the backing vocalist of the Greek Entry and the leading singer Elina Konstantopoulou, to the song "Pia Proseuhi" ("What Kind Of A Prayer").From then on, she starts climbing the ladder of stardom, collaborating with "the creme de la creme" of Greek singers and musicians, like Christos Nikolopoulos, Paschalis, Despina Vandi, Giannis Parios, Giannis Poulopoulos, Antonis Remos, Giannis Ploutarchos, Notis Sfakianakis, Giorgos Tsalikis etc., as their support to their shows.
In June of 2002, Marianda releases her first album, entitled "I gineka tis zois sou" ("The Woman Of Your Life") ,which instantly gave her a substantial place in the hearts of the Greek audience.In 2002 "Arion" Greek Music Awards, Marianda receives the Award for "Best Newcomer in Greek Music"!Her following discography consists of the cd single "Ute Ki Esi" ("Neither You",) and the albums "Vale Fantasia" ("Use Your Imagination") with strong dance- performing tracks, "Ambra - Katambra" ("Hocus Pocus") with more Greek sounds ("laika") and "Sfera Stin Kardia"("Bullet In The Heart") with a mixture of pop and "laika" elements in the songs.
In September 2006, Marianda returns with the cd single "DJ", containing the self titled song, which is a powerful dance song, remade from Swedish singer Carola's "Stanna Eller Ga". The lyrics in all the songs are signed for the first time by Marianda herself. A few days later, her record label releases her first "best of" album, with her greatest hits from her first album up-to-date, entitled "DJ-The Hits Collection"!
