Mad TV , the only Greek music channel, hit the airwaves in June 6th 1996 and has become one of the most popular music brands in Greece.
Our tv channel's program includes 30 live shows per week (6/weekday). All live shows deal with different subjects, ranging from world-wide music news, artist news, Internet, video games, cinema, clubbing, concerts, interviews and documentaries, concerning the majority of the Greek and International artist community.
Mad TV's live shows OK, Funked, Room8, WWW, Playroom, LunchBox include daily music competitions, special shows dedicated to artists, and music events, while at the same time the audience can actively participate through SMS and e-mails, the majority of which are displayed on air.
Moreover, 80% of all the music and cultural events (i.e. concerts, contests, films, theatrical plays etc.) that take place in Athens are covered from our music journalists, reporters and chief editors, while at the same time Mad TV is the official media sponsor of these events.Mad TV also broadcasts exclusively the majority of the most popular worldwide music events (i.e. Brit Awards, Glastonbury Festival, MOBO Awards, Fashion Rocks Festival, V Festival, etc.).
Today Mad operates on a daily basis, besides Mad TV, four TV channels (Mad World/Australia, Blue Channel/USA, GNet/Greece, Studio+/Greece), one radio station (Mad Radio 106,2 Hz), five music-interactive audio channels in Nova (the only digital platform in Greece) and websites (www.mad.tv, www.momad.gr, etc.).
Mad also offers a wide range of B2C and B2B services such as: Mo'Mad(a pre-paid mobile telephony in cooperation with TIM), Go Mad (interactive service in Nova platform), Mad Shop (on line CD shop through www.mad.tv, Nova and i-mode Cosmote mobile telephony), Mad Scanner (mobile service for music identification in cooperation with Vodafone mobile telephony company), real time video streaming of Mad TV's program for 2G & 3G mobile phones and mobile content (ring-tones, logos and MMS) to all the top mobile telephony companies in Greece (TIM, Vodafone, Cosmote/Globul).
Furthermore Mad organizes a series of events and contests, namely: Mad Video Music Awards (the only annual music awards ceremony in Greece), Mad Secret Concerts (series of secret gigs), Athens Music Forum (the only conference for the music industry in Greece), Mad4Bands (annual competition for promoting new bands), etc.
