Tawfiq Sharabi, born November 7, 1979 in Dubai U.A.E... Moved to Greece at the age of 1 month, raised in the city of Athens and has obtained a European Greek Citizenship though he originates from Damascus Syria. He graduated from an all American High-School and earned his B.A. in Electronic Media, Mass Communications from the University of Indianapolis in Greece. All his life he has been influenced by Arabic, Greek and Oriental music. His Favorite type of music is Rap/Hip-Hop/Modern R&B since it all started in the Mid 80’s. Rap to him is a very effective and unique way of expression. It makes people around the world unite their thoughts and feelings. Tawfiq is the youth’s voice of the Arabs around the world. His music shows his many sides. He expresses his sensitivity about the people and struggles in the Middle East. Some display his comic side, some are made to be played in the club scene, and some about relationships and women. All of his varying songs are done in English. This is a way to speak for the people of Middle East. Allowing everyone in the world to acknowledge and relate to his lyrics. Tawfiq has released his first album”The Message” in Greece and Cyprus only. He is now currently arranging to release his album/video clip with top music producers and distributors in Dubai U.A.E.(Middle East region), London England and Detroit Michigan U.S.A.. Tawfiq’s target market is a vast range of ethnic groups. This message is important to him, as well to hundreds of millions of others. The best way to send and receive such messages is by utilizing the media.His work history consists of “Night Life” entertainment. Tawfiq lead the way for Hip-Hop and R’n’B, starting as a D.J. in 1994 at cafes and bars on the Southside of Athens. Eventually working his way into well known & famous night clubs. He held the first Hip-Hop and R’n’B party in Greece, all coordinated by himself. He had the role of public relations, DJ, Mc/Host, and handled all business relations.In 2000, Tawfiq continued his work and began promoting at the Top Night Clubs in Athens such as: Bo, Privilege, Venue, Club 22, Destijl, +22, Atlantis, Banana Moon, Danza, Galea, Divine, Akrotiri, Boutique, Fuzz, Jet Lag, Koo Club, Yacht Club, Desire, Prime, Bouzios, La Mamounia and Tango. Tawfiq established an Entertainment/Promotions/Record Label in 2001, MAD G.Q... Tawfiq coordinated events and organized concerts for famous artists such as: DJ. Steve Walker (Spanish hip-hop/Latin Salsa), DJ. Niko Vourliotis (Hip-hop/Universal Records), DJ. Thad from London England (Hip-hop/Craig David’s DJ), DJ Jazz T from London England Wu-Tang member, Gravediggaz from the Arsonists (New York), Shabaz the Disciple from New York, MC Freestyle from the Arsonists (New York), Amigo & Benny from the Flying Steps 2003 World Champions in Break Dancing (Germany & France), DJ. Rico (Sony Records), DJ Blaze from New York (Jennifer Lopez’s private DJ), Lumidee from New York (Tawfiq also performed).Tawfiq organized and performed with THE GAME LIVE in CONCERT on July 21, 2007 at the Olympic Softball Stadium (Hellinikon Complex). Ina Lazapolou (The famous Greek singer/supermodel) also performed in the collaboration song “Greek Goddess”. Tawfiq of MAD G.Q. collaborated with the strongest Urban Promotion Team “MAGNA” as a host/mc/performer for 4,000 people (Hip-Hop and R’n’B parties) at 7 Star “Akrotiri-Boutique” Club/Restaurant every Wednesday for the summer of 2008. On October 2nd 2008 Tawfiq performed live on MTV Greece for Top Upcoming International MC/Hip-Hop Artist in Europe.
