About Me

I live in Nashville and play around town at the Bluebird, Western Beat, the Basement and other places. I also write with some great folks, including George Teren and Tom Hambridge. Most of the songs here are Nashville pitches, sung by other people with me playing all the instruments and singing backgrounds. If you want to hear me on my own, you can go to my other Myspace site, which is www.myspace.com/jrounds
I've played lead guitar with many people including John Lee Hooker, the Steve Earle Band and The Records, and was on the John Fogerty "Blue Moon Swamp" tour back in '97. I have tunes published by Ten Ten Music and others here in Nashville, along with a Graham Nash cut plus a bunch of film and TV music.
This basically an electronic proving ground for new songs, so brand new music will always be coming and going. A distant second to playing them out live, but it still helps me separate the good stuff from the junk.
I like the Montana-made Gibson acoustics a lot, am also a sucker for just about any Telecaster or Esquire I pick up. Tracks are usually cut either at the Switchyard or at the home studio in Berry Hill. Click the link on any song for lyrics, leave a comment if you like, and thanks for visiting!
