About Me

The Black Hotels got together in January 2006. Five months later they played their first gig at a small local pub and music venue called The Bohemian in Richmond Johannesburg. For a while they were known as Films for the Next Century. In January 2007 The Black Hotels signed with independent management and record label Sovereign Entertainment. In October 2007 they released their debut record, a 5-track EP called Beautiful Mornings. The band are currently writing material for a full length album due for release this year.
