JOHN THE RAPTIST: A BRIEF HISTORY.
I do not wish to bore any readers/friends with tedious details of my career in the music business only to say that I have been practising the art of an MC since the beginning of 1993 to the present day.
Starting out as a member of local Hip Hop outfit Force 10 I learned to ply my trade, gaining valuble studio/gig experience during my stay, before making the bold decision to embark on a solo career in 1997.
There have been many trials and tribulations along the way,perhaps the highlight coming in late 1999 when I signed a contract with London based company Ruffworld only for events to take a downward turn before proceedings had ever really gotten off the ground or any of my recordings had been released.
Thankfully I have never lost my appetite for the never ending struggle to gain a foothold and a modicum of success and so now I finally arrive on MySpace.
On the subject of the lyrics "I write them and perform them" and on the subject of the music "I write,produce,engineer and direct it".
I have a saying "If you can't do it yourself....Why fucking bother?".
