About Me

This is a page that is dedicated to the wonderful movie The Wizard of Oz! It is a musical about an adventure of a girl named Dorothy and her little dog Toto go on after a cyclone picks up their house and drops them in the magical Land of Oz! When Dorothy and Toto exit the house the are greeted by the Munchkins and the Good Witch of the North Glenda. What Dorothy doesn't know is that when her house landed it had fallen on the Wicked Witch of the East. Well the Wicked Witch of the West shows up to see who killed her sister and get the Magical Ruby Slippers. Just before the Witch can grab them they disappear and end up on Dorothy's feet. The Wicked Witch of the West seeks revenge on her for killing her sister and taking the Ruby Slippers, but the Good Witch of the North and the Ruby Slippers protect her. Dorothy wishes to return home so she is sent to the Emerald City to ask the Great Wizard if he can help her. Her journey begins when she learns that she must follow the yellow brick road to reach the Emerald City. On her way there she befriends a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion. The Scarecrow wants to go and ask the Wizard for a brain, the Tin Man wants to ask for a heart, and the Lion wants to ask for courage. On there way the Wicked Witch of the West sends her flying monkeys to kidnap Dorothy and Toto. Lucky Toto escapes to get help and they Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion rescue her, but not before she throws a bucket of water on the Witch and watches her melt. The four finally reach the Emerald City where they are permitted to go and talk to the great and powerful Oz. Once inside they are to scared because to ask because he seems so scary until Toto see's that there is something behind a curtain and pulls it open. Inside they find the real Oz and ask him for all of the things that had started them on there journey. In the end the Scarecrow gets his brain, the Tin Man gets his heart, and the Cowardly Lion gets his courage. Dorothy finds out that she has always had the power to go home that all she had to do was to click her heels and say there's no place like home, there's no place like home.
